Choosing A Law School (cont.)

5. How does the law school career planning office fare in helping students identify and land jobs? Most law schools with have formal on-campus interviews (OCI) and resume collection programs. Other schools sponsor job fairs on campus. Find out from current students or alumni what career services the school offers and how proactive the career planning office is in placing students.

6. How much will law school cost? Law school is an expensive proposition, and we can't all be trust fund babies. Apart from tuition and books, there are living expenses and bar-related costs to consider. To pay for the cost of law school, many students take out loans. Keep in mind that the greater your debt burden, the greater the pressure to find a high paying job at the end of law school.

This is merely a short list of the factors you may want to consider when making your decision. For books on choosing a law school, check the Recommended Readings page.
